Meet the AgMotion Team
Rolf S. Peters, President & Chief Executive Officer
Rolf brings experience in commodity marketing, risk
management, finance, budgeting, and management together to drive results at
AgMotion.
Rolf started his career as a commodity trader for The Pillsbury Company at its
Minneapolis headquarters in 1986. He left in 1988 to found R. S. Peters, Inc.,
a cash market commodity trading company whose operations became Viking Ag
Commodities, Inc. in 1996. Its operations are now part of the AgMotion group of
companies. In 1990, Rolf (and a partner) founded Twin City Milling Corp., a
recycler serving the wholesale bakery industry. The partners subsequently sold
Twin City Milling at a profit to Endres Processing, LLC.
Raised in Tucson, Arizona, Rolf is a graduate of Carleton College in
Northfield, MN, where he earned a BA. He pursued legal studies at William
Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN at night.
Tim Carlson, Chief Operating Officer
Tim has successfully developed domestic and international
markets for a variety of products. His broad skill set includes risk
management, logistics, and organic trade. His primary area of expertise has
been cash commodity merchandising. He has built and sustained several
profitable markets in the cash commodity arena. These products include
mid-protein feed ingredients, specialty proteins, fats and oils.
Tim specializes in building teams to develop entrenched market positions in
crowded markets. Tim joined Viking Ag Commodities Inc. in 1996. Under his
leadership sales and market share have grown annually for Viking. Tim holds a
BS in Ag Business Management from the University of Minnesota.
Bill Hren, Chief Financial Officer
Bill has over twenty years of finance and accounting
experience. Most recently he was Vice President-Finance and Accounting for
Northcott Hospitality International, LLC, a holding company owning several
businesses including AmericInn International, Northcott Co. and Wheatstone
Restaurant Group. Bill was responsible for financing all development and
acquisitions activity. While Bill was at Northcott, sales increased from $12MM
to over $175MM in internal revenues and franchise system sales from 200
locations around the country.
Previously Bill served four years on the audit staff of Deloitte and Touche. He
is a certified public accountant. He holds a B.A. in Business-Accounting from
the University of St. Thomas.
Wint Ritchie, Vice President of US Commodities, LLC.
Wint has over 30 years of trading and risk management
experience. He began his career as a commodity trader with Pillsbury in 1970.
Wint and a partner founded USC in 1983 and built it into a leading cash
commodity-trading firm serving markets across North America.
Today, Wint is a nationally recognized leader in cash commodity marketing and
risk management. Wint joined AgMotion in May 2001 after AgMotion’s acquisition
of US Commodities. He serves on AgMotion’s Executive Committee in addition to
running AgMotion’s Minneapolis, Minnesota office.
